Salaried GP

 

Are you a dedicated GP, looking to join a friendly, innovative and supportive surgery in the attractive suburb of Downend, Northeast Bristol.

We are a supportive and progressive GP practice with sophisticated multi-disciplinary teams. With a list size of 27,500 patients and more than 100 employees, we deliver our services from two purpose-built sites, located just a 10-minute walk apart. 

We have 12 Partners, all of whom have a strong ethos of promoting teamwork, mentorship, and professional development. 

We are now seeking a Salaried GP to become part of our growing team of 15+ Salaried GPs at our well-established, forward-thinking practice.

  • 15-minute appointments; split into a combination of face to face, telephone and eConsult

  • Protected administration time built into every session

  • Team based approach to duty work; several GPs working within the "hub" at any given time (no solo GP duty or triage list). 
  • Regular Salaried GP and Learning Event meetings
  • Six weeks annual leave, one week study leave and bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Support of an Urgent Care Team, including Paramedics and a Prescribing Nurse Practitioner for minor illness clinics 
  • The support of a large Clinical Pharmacy team and skilled Practice Nurses managing chronic diseases
  • A dedicated and knowledgeable Medicines Management Team handling repeat prescriptions, medication queries and discharge summaries, reducing your administration burden
  • Support from a Health and Wellbeing Coach and Care Co-ordination Team who offer social prescribing and assist complex elderly and vulnerable patients, 
  • Excellent opportunities to get involved with teaching and training and research
  • The option of mentorship and monthly meetings for newly qualified GPs via the Newly Qualified GP Fellowship
  • Regular MDTS focused on frailty, palliative and safeguarding 
  • Green Practice and Health and Wellbeing initiatives, including regular social events and an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Medical Indemnity, GMC membership and other professional subscriptions, required to work within the practice are covered
